Dear colleagues,

we invite you to participate at the 11th Annual Conference of the European Society for Domestic Animal Reproduction (ESDAR). The conference will be held in Celle, Germany. For the first time the ESDAR Conference will be organized together with the group of European AI-Veterinarians, who will organize their meeting a day before ESDAR at the same venue .We hope that many of you will be interested to attend both conferences and take advantage of a reduced congress rate.

Beside the scientific programme, Celle provides a lot of tourist attractions .It is more than just a town of half timbered houses. Behind the picturesque facades, modern life unfolds. Celle lives on contrasts - the atmosphere of small exclusive boutiques and the variety of great department stores, spacious squares and little hidden corners, bizarre facades and inscriptions from across the centuries, ancient treasures and modern styling. Celle combines an urban atmosphere with unspoilt nature. The world-famous Parade of Stallions is taking place in the middle of the ducal city of Celle for more than 80 years. It provides the opportunity to inform yourselves about the many aspects of horse-breeding in the Hannover Region and the Hanoverian Breed in special. On Sunday 23rd we offer you to participate in the parade to enjoy the Hanoverian horses. Celle is located close to the ‘Lunenburg Heath’. Traditionally, the heath can be seen at its best in late summer from mid-August to late-September when it is usually in full bloom.

Diversity is the trump card of the ‘Lunenburg Heath’. There is so much more to enjoy than just watching the German moor land sheep and the Heath is looked upon as a perfect example of an idyllic vacation area. The region offers biking, hiking, horse-riding, water sports and golfing opportunities and its long history can be seen and learned about in the various castles, villages, museums and even traditional dishes.
